Happy Monday – Kinder Surprise Advent Calender

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
photo 1This should really be a HAPPY MONTH post, as an advent calender lasts lot longer than just one Monday but it’s what’s making me happy this fine Monday, so there you have it.
I love advent calenders. As children, we were never allowed a chocolate advent calender, but at least my brother and I got a paper calender each, so we wouldn’t fight over opening a door each morning. Now that I am allowed to choose my own advent calender, I am obviously going to go with a chocolate one. The more and bigger chocolate the better. And I have always been obsessed with Kinder Surprise, so I’m sure you can guess why I was jumping up and down in the supermarket with excitement at a Kinder Surprise Advent Calender. It was a bit pricey, but in terms of awesomeness, it was a bargain. I guess the only downside is we are sharing it, so I only get half an egg each morning, but this still means that every morning I am not only getting chocolate, but also a surprise.
photo 2And check out this little cutie from yesterday! It’s a penguin on ice who can decorate a Christmas Tree. Not only adorable, but also useful…
The whole calender is actually pretty epic. It is 3D, with a protruding ski-lift and pieces you build onto the top and sides, to make it huge. I guess it has to be large enough for 24 surprises, but it’s the biggest one I have ever had so it’s exciting…
This month is going to be amazing. It’s already started off beautifully, as until last night we were in Dresden on holiday with a bunch of friends. I’m sure a post will come your way soon, as it is such a lovely town and we had lots of mulled wine, I mean fun. Mmmm… mulled wine. Anyway, we have family visiting this week, we will be visiting the German family soon and then we head home for the Christmas season, as nothing can beat eating turkey with family. And every day we get to open a door to chocolate and to a new surprise. It’s going to be a great December!
