    PINK Magnum

I’m tickled pink… So all of you should know that I love pink and even more than that, I love ice cream. And yesterday I discovered that I love pink ice cream! It seems every summer in Germany has new Magnum ice cream flavours – this one is very berry raspberry flavour. You can really taste the fruit with every bit – more than the chocolate actually. I love how sparkly it is as well. It’s not my favourite (is it possible to beat white chocolate?), but I’m sure I will be nomming more of this over the summer months. Have you found any fun ice cream flavours this season?…

    Best Vietnamese in Berlin

I just can’t get enough… So we have been to Monsieur Vuong so many times already that I can’t believe I haven’t told you about it yet. The food is amazing, every single time. We actually went there by chance the first time – we had planned to get Japanese Ramen Noodles from Makoto, but they were closed. We saw the restaurant opposite was pretty full and thought that was a good sign, so popped in. The staff all wear T-shirts with Mr Vuong on them – plus there are a load of photos of the chef on the wall too – a bit weird, but you gotta trust me…

    Blueprints – Board Game

Following on from yesterday’s post about board game stores in New York, today I’d like to introduce you to a current favourite in Maison L&A… Blueprints! We picked Blueprints up on a whim while in the Twenty Sided Store in Brooklyn, NY (which is very unlike me, normally I research the any game I buy endlessly before I buy it!). I had no idea what the game was about but the box caught my eye and the theme of the game grabbed me instantly. In Blueprints, players take the role of architects and compete against each other to construct the best building possible out of several different materials. The game is played over…

    Board Gaming in New York

Whenever we go travelling, we always make sure that we eat our way through the town. Food is definitely main factor we consider when planning our any trip. As you’ve already read, we definitely worked hard to cover all bases while in New York! However, no trip is complete without a little visit to the area’s (friendly) local game store. New York is definitely a fantastic place to explore as a gamer — with tonnes of locations to geek out in – and we managed to squeeze a visit to two stores during our limited time there. The Compleat Strategist The first store was “The Compleat Strategist“. The store is less than a…

FREE (Non-Food) related things to do in New York

I wanna be like you… So when we went to New York, I had a huge list (I mean HUGE list) of things to eat. We managed every single one of them except the Ramen Burger – partly because we ran out of time, ate far too many burgers (4 in two weeks is a lot apparently) and friends who had tried it said it was just an over-rated mess. I’m still gutted we didn’t go, but it means we have to go again! And in case you were wondering, we did actually get a few things done that weren’t food-related. Check this stuff out: Walk The Brooklyn Bridge It…

    Staying at AirBnBs

Wherever I place my head, that’s my home… Throughout our entire two week stay in America we decided to use only AirBnB, as neither of us like how impersonal hotels are. It’s great to meet local people and hang out with locals rather than tourists. Hosts always know the best place for a delicious dinner or a random fun adventure to go on. In New York we stayed with David and Jasper – the cutest dog in the world. Jasper actually jumped on me and ran into our room and just sat inside our suitcase. I wanted to take him home so badly!! Instead of staying in a huge hotel…

    Random things in Vienna

You’re my Wonderwall… I love wandering. We often (actually every day this week) go walkies around our area in Berlin and love showing people the farm, the lakes, the forests, the amazing houses, the Botanical Gardens… there is so much to see just in our little area, so it’s only reasonable to say that in the city of Vienna we found lots of interesting things on our walks around the city. I love posts like this – random, full of silly stuff and fast to throw together but fun to remember seeing all these weird and wonderful bits and pieces!
