Berlin's original ice cream!

I scream, you scream. we all scream… for ice cream!
You should by now all know that ice cream is my absolute favourite food ever! I won’t tell you about those days in Kyoto where I would eat 8 a day just so that I wasn’t losing too much weight to fit into my clothes… ahem… instead I will tell you about Berlin’s original ice cream: Florida Eis.

I did actually want to add a photo of the ice cream in bowls, but we literally just grabbed spoons and dipped... ;)

It all began in 1927 in 15 Klosterstraße in the North-West area of Spandau in Berlin. Ice cream is actually still sold at this address now and even though we’ve not been there yet, we often see the ice cream pots in the local supermarkets and we finally had some last week. There are so many funky flavours, from the originals to Spekulatius and Cinamon. I have to say the Chocolate was absolutely nommilicious, but the Spekulatius was too ginger-y for me. I’m looking forward to trying all the other flavours too 🙂
