A pharmacy for rats?
We always find ourselves giggling at some German words when we look at them as though they were English words. We spotted this little shop in Magdeburg – a little pharmacy for rats perhaps?
Before we moved house, we used to live near the Rathaus (Town Hall) in Neukolln, which always brought a smile to my face when I saw it.
One of my all time favourites is the word to travel (fahren) and its amazing conjugation of Fahrt. Yes, I am like a small child. But I cannot help laughing when I see things like “Fahrt endet hier” or “Gute Fahrt” or “Ausfahrt”. I hope I never grow up 🙂

There’s a common joke that I never get tired of: “I really want to visit that giant city, the one called Ausfahrt. It must be HUGE because the exit signs for it are all OVER this country!”
