    Too much traffic in my head… It’s getting really hot in Berlin. We had our first BBQ this week and got nice face tans but bit crispy arm burns… but the good news is that ICE CREAM solves everything and I have tried yet another delicious place I want to tell you all about.     Potsdam – a wonderful day trip from Berlin

    We’re all going on a summer holiday… We tell all our guests to go to Potsdam – it’s a beautiful town with an amazing summer palace surrounded by enormous parks just one hour from the centre of Berlin. We often pop down there for a walk on a sunny day and can only recommend it to you all. Last time we started our wanderings from Potsdam Park Sanssouci station, which starts you off bang in the middle of the park. You go via the forests and fields up towards the Sanssouci Palace.     Guest Blog: Steph visits the Community Garden

    As an Eco Warrior and Friends of the Earth campaigner, I have heard that Berlin is one of the most environmentally friendly cities in Europe. Indeed this appears to be true and as a resident of Manchester in the UK, I hope that it will also follow suit. After all, Manchester does twin itself with Berlin so it better get a move on! I was lucky enough to visit a community garden in Stadtteilgarten Schillerkiez on the grounds of the old Templehof Airport, which was no less than stunning.     Swimming in the Sun

    The summer used to be a time when I would need to draw the curtains extra tight so I could still see my computer screen. Nowadays, it would seem I’m getting better at taking advantage of the warmth from the big light bulb in the sky and went swimming with Vanessa at an outdoor swimming centre in Neukölln, Berlin. When I say we went swimming, I mean we mostly raced small children up the steps of the water slide.
