Potsdam – a wonderful day trip from Berlin
We’re all going on a summer holiday… We tell all our guests to go to Potsdam – it’s a beautiful town with an amazing summer palace surrounded by enormous parks just one hour from the centre of Berlin. We often pop down there for a walk on a sunny day and can only recommend it to you all. As an Eco Warrior and Friends of the Earth campaigner, I have heard that Berlin is one of the most environmentally friendly cities in Europe. Indeed this appears to be true and as a resident of Manchester in the UK, I hope that it will also follow suit. After all, Manchester does twin itself with Berlin so it better get a move on! Swimming in the Sun
The summer used to be a time when I would need to draw the curtains extra tight so I could still see my computer screen. Nowadays, it would seem I’m getting better at taking advantage of the warmth from the big light bulb in the sky and went swimming with Vanessa at an outdoor swimming centre in Neukölln, Berlin. When I say we went swimming, I mean we mostly raced small children up the steps of the water slide.
