Best Vietnamese in Berlin

I just can’t get enough…
So we have been to Monsieur Vuong so many times already that I can’t believe I haven’t told you about it yet. The food is amazing, every single time. We actually went there by chance the first time – we had planned to get Japanese Ramen Noodles from Makoto, but they were closed. We saw the restaurant opposite was pretty full and thought that was a good sign, so popped in.
The staff all wear T-shirts with Mr Vuong on them – plus there are a load of photos of the chef on the wall too – a bit weird, but you gotta trust me here. You can’t make a reservation and the place is always busy. It’s cheap and fresh, the ingredients are piled to the top, each with it’s own flavour. The menu is tiny – you can only choose from about ten dishes and then the three specials. I ALWAYS get the rice with curry – just look at this nomminess! And their homemade lemonade is divine.

Even the plate is funky. It may look small, but it’s deceiving. There is rice hidden under it all and succulent chicken with piles of veggies. With each bite you can feel your taste buds having a little party – go go go!

Good to know. Our favorite Vietnamese dish is Pho (rice noodles in a beef broth), lemongrass pork chops and spring rolls. Guess I need to try the curry one of these days. The Vietnamese food in Paris is pretty good. As it is here in various cities in the States. Are there any Korean restaurants in Berlin?

Thank you for the comment and YES! There is an amazing Korean Restaurant opposite the Vietnamese place – the spicy pork is just delicious. I’m dribbling a little just at the thought 😉
I like Pho, but prefer a soup with more flavour – Japanese noodle soups make my heart (and belly) a happy place 🙂
