Berlin – “arm aber sexy*”

These boots were made for walking – and that’s just what they’ll do…

So I finish my job in exactly one month. And the day after that I turn 30. And then I’m going to move to Berlin. With my boyfriend. But without a job. And without even an idea of how to find a job in Germany. But with lots of anticipation and hope that the place that its governing Mayor Klaus Wowereit in 2004 thought of as “arm aber sexy*” is going to live up to my great expectations.

We got back from a tester week in Berlin yesterday. The apartment was fab, the people were great and the city was alive with excitement. The sausages were tasty and the Gummibears were soft. It feels like the right time to become a Berliner.
