    Getting our craft on!

    You’re one in a minion… Over the last few days we have gotten a little crafty! My Japanese grandmother left for Japan again (insert sad face here) and she misses her life in London a lot, so I made her some London-themed coasters. These are super easy and quick to make and I love how they turned out. As we will be finally going back to London for the shortest ever visit soon, I also made a fabric ball with pulley-tags for my lovely friend’s baby who I FINALLY get to meet – cannot wait! And last night, Jason and I sat down to paint. They turned out absolutely adorably…

    Bunting

    Rule Britannia… As you may know, the Queen is coming to Berlin, so in true British tradition, this weekend I made some bunting! I used scraps from my favourite bits of material and it took about an hour to make this little wall hanging for our hallway. I LOVE it – super happy and also really happy at how I managed to get completely straight sewing lines – practice is slowly making perfect 😉 Our place looks much cuter now – maybe the Queen will pop in for a cuppa?

    Hüco Stoffe – Fabric Store in Berlin

      Any place that advertises itself as having 200,000 meters of fabric is going to be able to provide us all with something we absolutely love. Hüco Stoffe in Berlin is HUGE – it’s a bit hidden away in the North-West of the city, but well-worth a visit if you need any kind of sewing accessories. A friend had advised me to go with an idea of what I wanted before I ended up melting in a puddle of happiness at the beautiful colours and material and glittery things and buttons and and and… so I went on the hunt for some cotton material for a dress I am currently making and…
