Vanille & Marille Ice Cream Shop

Too much traffic in my head… It’s getting really hot in Berlin. We had our first BBQ this week and got nice face tans but bit crispy arm burns… but the good news is that ICE CREAM solves everything and I have tried yet another delicious place I want to tell you all about. Vanille & Marille is in the South-West part of Berlin in the suburb area. It’s down a tiny street and unless you know it’s there, you wouldn’t go. What’s not to love? The place is bright pink, the staff serve with a smile and there are tons of flavours to choose from. They try and source their…

We often pop by for a delicious ice chocolate drink on a sunny day, as they have a grand outdoor terrace and it’s right next to the farm we love to visit. He got a fabulous guitar for his special day from Just Music and I’d been told about a friend’s favourite cake place the day before, so off we went to explore. However, the canteen feel means you can see the cakes being freshly made and ordering was hard as everything looked delicious. Jason’s favourite is anything lemon-flavoured, so we got the lemon cheesecake and the…

Guest Post: My weekend chez Leather and Abel

Vanessa: From the first day at High School, I knew I’d be friends with Rayshum forever. We clicked straight away, spent all day moaning about our terrible college, watched Grease Lightening on sleep-overs and went out dancing whenever we could. You know what ladies are like at that age – we went through all kinds of crazy stuff and over the weekend Rayshum came to visit us in Berlin finally! Here is what we did: Rayshum: After endless texts to Vanessa over the past 18 months promising to come to visit Berlin, I finally managed to book my (last minute) flights to visit Jason and Vanessa. I was last in…
