Sleeping in a Cucumber Barrel
As cool as a cucumber… Well, we did it yet again. We saw the most hilarious accommodation ever and decided to visit the surrounding area because of it. Yup, you guessed it, we stayed in a pickled gherkin barrel (Gurkenfass) in the Spreewald, a UNESCO area just one hour south of Berlin by car. It’s so much better than staying in a boring hotel room – you get to meet locals and stay in a place that feels like home. Our first ever AirBnB guests
I feel good… We knew from the moment we saw their happy smiling faces that it was going to be fun meeting Tony and Wilma. From their message that read “We’re on a four-month European trip for our 40th wedding anniversary…” we knew they would be the perfect first guests for us. Our first AirBnB guests!
I wanna go home… We only put our spare room on AirBnB two weeks ago and our first guests arrive tomorrow! I have to say we are a little nervous – will they like the place and review us well?
